is a retired building contractor, an artist, a musician and a motorcycle enthusiast. His fascination with wooden gear clocks began more than two decades ago and since that time he has produced and sold hundreds of his beautiful wooden creations. His designs, which have obviously proven themselves “worthy of time”. Each of these hand built clocks is driven by weights with a pendulum and with “open” clockworks, displaying the unique features of the wooden gears and the beauty of time in motion.

Description

“Bones” is so named because it is what is known as a skeleton clock (or bare-bones clock). I find a particular beauty in the machinery of the clockworks and when it is running there is the added bonus of the kinetic beauty and sound that is more audible than on more enclosed versions. The sound this clock makes is lovely, not what you would typically expect to hear from an ordinary clock.
